WHISKY DISTILLERY SCOTLAND
Because whisky is as much a part of Scotland as the heather and the Highlands, there are lots of distilleries in Scotland of all sizes and descriptions. But of all the distilleries in Scotland, the oldest and the most interesting by far, for all sorts of reasons, is The Glenturret distillery, two miles northwest of Crieff in Perthshire.
Along with being the spiritual home of Scotland’s favourite blended whisky The Famous Grouse, The Glenturret distillery is appropriately the source of The Glenturret malt, one of the key whiskies used in The Famous Grouse blend. Established way back in 1775, The Glenturret is an authentic working distillery with a rich history and a long list of fascinating, contemporary attractions. These include the BAFTA award-winning interactive show, where you’ll soar across Scotland and see it through the eyes of the Grouse.
There’s also a series of guided tours that take our visitors on a whisky making journey from milling to maturing. And if all that wasn’t enough, we also offer a range of services and facilities as a leading venue for corporate and private events of every size. Everything considered it’s easy to see why The Glenturret distillery is the most visited distillery in Scotland.
